About Kate Parker

Kate Parker is of Ngati Maniapoto, English and Greek descent. She grew up roaming the bush and riding horses in Kaeo in the far north of Aotearoa.

Kate studied theatre in Melbourne, Australia at The John Bolton Theatre School and returned to co-found New Zealand’s Red Leap Theatre. She is currently working as a visual artist and author and lives in west Auckland with her family. Kate enjoys watching wildlife, being near the forest and the sea and finding ways to support the planet, one seedling at a time.

One consistent drive I have as a maker is to add voice to the rising wave of positive change on our planet.” - Kate Parker
